According to Wikipedia, Lillian, Alabama was named for Lillian Kee, the daughter of William Thomas Kee, a local postmaster. The Lillian post office was established in 1884, about 40 years before the Baldwin Colonization Company purchased the area around Lillian to begin building up the whole area as a resort location
